MSc and PhD opportunities currently exist for research on: i) airflow and sand transport dynamics over beaches and dunes, ii) beach-dune erosion and recovery morphodynamics, iii) terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) and/or unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) quantification of beach-dune morphodynamics and sediment budgets, and iv) interactions between coastal dune vegetation, airflow dynamics and sand transport interactions.

Interested applicants should have a BSc or MSc with first class standing in Physical Geography, Earth Sciences, or related natural sciences.  Please contact Dr. Ian Walker via email directly and include:

  1. a statement of research interest that aligns with current CEDD lab initiatives;
  2. a CV that includes 3 references (including past academic supervisors);
  3. a copy of transcripts showing grades obtained.

Thank you for your interest in the CEDD Lab!
